6 1/2" ribbed barrel with round blade front sight, .44 calibre, but not marked with cartridge designation. Nickel frame and barrel. Matching number nickel cylinder. Casehardened hammer, trigger and triggerguard. Checkered hammer. Diamond checkered S&W logo black hardrubber grips. Last patent date, 1871. Mfd 1880. 99% slightly-muted nickel finish. Crisp and bright bore with only slight pitting at the throat. With factory letter.
