REMINGTON – 1100SD MATCHED SET - $16,699.964 GUNS - 12GA ID 4530825, 20GA ID 4530832, 28GA ID 4530811, .410 ID 4530834FACTORY ENGRAVEDA very scarce “Matched Set of 4” Remington Model 1100-SD semi-automatic shotguns.Produced by the Remington Custom Shop in early 1973, this set contains one each sequentially serial numbered 12-gauge, 20-guage, 28-gauge, and .410-bore guns. These are model 1100 Skeet guns in D “Tournament Grade”. Each gun is factory hand engraved with a floral motif that wraps around the receivers and onto the rear of the barrels. The model markings, serial numbers, and “Matched Set of 4” are all hand engraved on each gun as well. The stocks are beautifully figured high-grade walnut fitted with factory pads. Each pistol grip features a black cap ivory diamond insert. Two special 9-ounce magazine cap weights are included to bring the feel of the small gauge guns in line with the bigger brothers. This set cost over $10,000.00 in 1973.It is an uncommon set and you will not find it in the Blue Book of Gun Values. The Remington Model 1100 is still highly prized by shooters and has an excellent reputation for reliability and durability. According to folks at the Remington society, there were only about 200 of these sets ever manufactured.
