30" original Sharps heavy full octagon barrel, marked both Old Reliable / Sharps Rifle Co and Freund's Patent 1880, Durango Colo., with Freund's patent blade front sight and tangent rear sight. Highly figured English walnut stock by Classic Arms Corporation with horn forend tip, classic point-pattern checkering with mullered borders, sidepanel details, horn-inlaid S-curve pistol grip, original long range vernier tang peep sight, beaded pancake cheekpiece and checkered steel buttplate. Original Sharps Borchardt action with trigger safety, casecolored, fine border-scroll engraved and with two bison on right and wolves circling a bison on left by Robert Swartley. In full-length oak trunk case with engraved brass escutcheon, including custom cleaning rod with machined brass tips and antique glass oil bottle.
