Description:
Here's a neat package, made in 1949, complete with serial numbered "Picture" box with shipping label and matching COD card and pouch, addressed to the original purchaser, from Winchester. Includes instruction and safety brochures. Box is a bit tattered, but is still very much "there" and, as it sits, a piece of history. Rifle is in very presentable condition, with scattered handling marks and thinned blue in the expected areas. There's no rust damage or cracks, and mechanically everything is in perfect order, including a beautiful, crisp, shiny bore and rifling. The mechanicals could stand a good cleaning and lube from your local gunsmith, and thats it! Set the box on a shelf for down the road when YOU go to sell the package, and enjoy shooting the rifle in the meantime. Have a look at the pics and give us a call with any questions. CA sales OK.
