INDO-PERSIAN KIRASH SWORD CIRCA 1700’S. 40” o/a with 33” very wide 2” double edged blade with decorative reinforcing extensions from the ricasso to 13” of the point and for 8” from the ricasso at the front edge. Steel hilt and grip. All original and nice deep patina. One of the nicest of these we have seen. See “ISLAMIC SWORDS” by Anthony Tirri, page 319 and figure 240AA. Very handsome example.
