Inland U.S. Mdl. M-1 Carbine. Cal. 30, Ser 53961XX.
This is a beautifully done arsenal rebuild. The barrel and receiver both Inland Div. of General Motors. The barrel is dated 8.44. Judging from that date and the serial number, I venture to say they are both original. The Parkerized finish is conservatively 95% . There are no pits or rust anywhere. The gun has been updated with the late round bolt, 4 rivet hand guard, lever safety, adjustable rear sight, and bayonet barrel band. The condition of all the metal parts is just super. The walnut stock and forearm wood also super. No dings, chips or splits. The color match is very nice. The bolt face, feed ramp and bolt guide rails show very little use. The barrel is just brilliant. The bore is razor sharp and mirror bright with no evidence of frosting. Included is one SW magazine one original G.I Sling and one correct oiler. This one is great to look at and should be an X ring blaster on the range. ....$1195.**
