O'Connor Commander USASAC. Major General O'Connor was Commander of U.S. Army Security Assistance Command from August 1983 to June 1986. This grouping includes a Presentation Bolo with the Vietnam MACV-SOG insignia and Spy vs Spy insignia and a presentation that reads " Presented to Col. E. C. O'Connor for Outstanding Support From tthe Officers and Men of STDAT-158 November 1972". This presentation bolo remains in excellent condition and is as presented. His commision letter from Major Guertin {U.S. Army 6th Battalion 56th Artillery HAWK) on official OPO OPD Artillery stationary reads as follows " Assignment to Vietnam...Major O'Connor...Reference your recent letter asking for assignment to Vietnam prior to utilization...please be advised you are programmed for assignment as Sector Advisor reporting 10th February 1966...You should recieve orders within the next two weeks...signed R. Guertin". Also included is a Presentation Swagger stick presented to him on June 18, 1985 by Major General Vicente M. Piccio Jr. AFP.manding General of the Philippine Air Force.
