VERY INTERESTING 1890s VICTORIAN ERA SWORD CANE. CASE OF BONE or IVORY INLAID WITH WHAT APPEARS TO BE ANIMAL HORN OR DARK WOOD ON SHAFT WITH SUBSTANTIAL LOSS OF THAT MATERIAL. ABOUT 36" LONG. VERY SHARP 17" BLADE SHOWING A DISTINCT TEMPER LINE WITH AREAS OF OXIDATION. THE WORKMANSHIP IS TOP SHELF AND PROBABLY JAPANESE. A PERIOD SILVER COIN INSET IN HANDLE END. THIS WAS CERTAINLY DESIGNED AS A PERIOD DEFENCE WEAPON, JUST AS PICTURED & FOUND. SHIPS DIRECT TO BUYER WHERE LEGAL TO OWN. THE BRASS CAP PICTURED THAT OFFERS PROTECTION OF SHAFTS END IS MODERN.
