Description:
Pre 64 Model 70 Alaskan in 338 Winchester Magnum Caliber. Serial # 456xxx (Vintage 1959, First Year Production). Metal retains all of 95-97% Original Blue with the most wear on the bolt handle (See Photos). Wood retains at least as much Original Finish as the metal with handling marks from being hunted. Nothing major but they are there. Look at the last photo and you will see the majority of the handling marks. also some on the left side of the Butt and a few quite minor ones on the forestock. Most of these are either mint or are pretty rough from being hunted. This is a very nice gun. Not Mint and not all beat up. It has been scoped and does have the rear flip down sight. Original Red Pad (Not the later ventilated). Good Bore, no craks, chips or missing finish. FFL or C&R Required. Thanks for looking.
