Description:
This is a 5 screw Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum revolver-pre Model 27 N frame-in .357 Magnum. The S prefix serial number dates to 1954-55. This revolver has an 8 3/8 inch barrel, Target sights, and a Standard hammer and trigger. The grips have been replaced with a Hogue Monogrip. The factory grips are not present. The finish shows general handling marks on the sides of the frame and the trigger guard. There is some major wear at the muzzle on both sides, on the front of the frame on the left side right at the barrel, and on the cylinder around one of the flutes. There are patches on the left side of the barrel around the "Smith & Wesson" marking and on the left side of the ejector rod housing under the ejector rod where the finish shows extreme wear and discoloration and with some light pitting on the metal. The bore is bright and shiny.
