Description:
1892 Forester Grade W.W. Greener BLNE with 30 inch Damascus barrels and 2 1/2 inch chambers. Facile Princeps action (Greener’s competitor to the Anson and Deeley), bright shiny bores, tight and on face, Greener crossbolt (patented Treble Wedge Fast Locking system). Wood in very good condition with crisp checkering. Unmolested survivor with lots of original finish and excellent shooting characteristics.
Bores are .732/.732 .693/.693 making it essentially full/full choked. Excellent minimum wall thickness of .039/.038. Weighs 7.5 pounds, would make an excellent Vintager trap gun. Mechanically perfect. Small ding in left barrel 7 inches from muzzle as shown in picture. Barely perceptible dimple in the bore – I believe it is too small to raise but could be easily lapped out. Rib has sharp engraving with the 68 Haymarket street address and “Winner at the all gun trials 1875 to 1891”.
