Limited edition, discontinued 1892 Winchester SADDLE RING TRAPPER model 16" barrel with large lever, 16" barrel, .44 Spl - .44 Rem Mag. Mint/ANIB with all of the factory paperwork and inserts. The lever was carefully worked a couple of times only and then put away as a safe queen some years ago when purchased. This has the tang safety. Made by Miroku of Japan for Winchester Repeating Arms Co; a manufacture that has contracted to produce several American based firearms for decades now; highly regarded worldwide for their superb workmanship and quality. This one is no exception. Beautiful deep dark bluing and beautiful grain stock; not a mar or blemish anywhere. These Saddle Ring Trapper Models were a LIMITED RUN and discontinued a few years back. The 20" barrel carbines are plentiful, but no longer are the 16" SADDLE RING TRAPPERS. They are extremely hard to find, especially in an unused and boxed condition as this one.
