Description:
Remington US Model 1903A3, manufactured March 1943, serial number 34781xx. Barrel is Remington dated February 1943 with a bright bore. No import marks. 


This rifle is in excellent used condition. Many parts are marked “R” for Remington, all are detailed below and shown in photos.

The rifle has been disassembled, examined, cleaned and lubricated.

•    Receiver: March 1943, excellent condition, absolutely no pitting, all markings sharp as new. 
•    Barrel: marked “RA 2-43” with flaming bomb/punch mark and proof “P”. External finish in excellent condition. 4-groove rifling.  Bore is bright like new, crown and riflings excellent. 
•    Barrel Gauge Measurements: ME(muzzle erosion) = 0, TE(throat erosion) = 1 1/2 
•    Trigger guard: unmarked, parkerized
•    Magazine follower: marked “R”, parkerized
•    Follower spring: unmarked
•    Rear sling swivel: unmarked
•    Stacking swivel: marked “R”
•    Barrel band swivel: unmarked
•    Barrel band spring: stamped type, marked “R”
•    Bayonet lug: unmarked
•    Handguard ring: marked “RP” (inside)
•    Buttplate: small Remington checkering pattern, good condition
•    Trigger: unmarked
•    Sear: marked “C”
•    Bolt: marked “R” under handle, large gas port. 
•    Bolt sleeve: marked “R”
•    Safety: READY and SAFE in block letters, marked “R” on edge
•    Striker: unmarked 
•    Firing pin: marked “R”
•    Extractor: marked “R”, no gas port
•    Extractor collar: marked “R”
•    Ejector: unmarked
•    Magazine cutoff: ON/OFF in block lettering
•    Front sight: base marked “R”, blade marked “E” or “F”
•    Rear sight ramp: marked “R”
•    Stock: walnut, straight, no finger grooves, two recoil pins. Very faint “FJA” marking on the left. No cracks, fewer than average dings/scratches, very nice appearance. Not original finish.
•    Handguard: walnut, no cracks, matches stock in appearance. Not original finish.
•    Sling: web, postwar
