We are offering for sale a U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1899 Bolt Action Rifle chambered in 30-40 Krag. This is an EXTREMELY ATTRACTIVE EXAMPLE WITH TRULY AMAZING CASE COLORING. This particular example was manufactured in 1902 and remains in collectible condition.
22” barrel is very good with wonderful greying patina. Bore is very good with very light surface wear; Strong rifling present. The receiver is very good with the majority of original bluing intact; loss at ejection port. TRAP DOOR, SIDE PLATE AND TRIGGER GUARD EXHIBIT AMAZING CASE COLORS THAT MUST BE SEEN!! Bolt action works effortlessly and gun functions properly. Furniture has been professionally refinished and is in very good condition. The cartouche is lacking from the left side of the receiver. No breaks; Some light surface wear; dings present. Lacking handguard? We believe the leather sling to be original to the gun; Nice sling studs!!
