Description:
Tomahawk came from a Museum largely devoted to American Indian items located in the Maumee Valley, Ohio (Indian country – area of Ohio valley Indian War fought 1790-95, See “President Washington’s War,” by Wiley Sword).  It is an iron trade pipe tomahawk with an old  more or less oval wood handle, that is slightly warped with age.  The handle doesn’t have a hole to draw on the pipe, so it is likely not original; but it is old.  The head of the Tomahawk has active rust due to my father’s poor storage, but could be cleaned up if you want. 16-1/4 inches from the head to the tip of the shaft.  The pipe head is shaped as an acorn. The head is 7.5 inches from pipe end to axe end.  Axe end is 1 inch high near center and flares out to 2-7/8 at the end of the cutting edge. Shipping & Insurance $18.00
