Description:
Serial #1058, .31 Caliber, 6” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a handsome revolver that has an overall mottled gray-brown patina with some minor freckling along the barrel and some specks of pinprick pitting on the exterior of the cylinder. The barrel latch has a bright, fire blued finish and there is about 75-80% of the original, muted color case-hardening on the frame and hammer. Further traces of case-hardening can be seen on the engraved lockplate and there are still some small areas of original blue on the grip straps, as well as on the trigger guard bow. The smooth walnut grip has a few scattered light handling marks, and there is a single, fairly deep bruise on the left side just ahead of the gripscrew. The lock-up is still tight and the mechanism is fully functional. This is a beautiful Mass Arms Co. revolver and would make a great addition to any collection. Antique
