AYA Model No. 53 Sidelock Ejector 12ga - Matched pair, consecutively numbered, Custom full length double leather case marked 1 and 2.
Description:
12 ga. 2-3/4" Chambers. 27 1/2" Chopper lump bbls ribs are gold inlaid numerals “1” and “2” for each gun respectively at rear portions of ribs. Guns are consecutively serial numbered, and also numbered on top levers and forend tips in gold. Barrels are marked “AYA – Aguirre & Aranzabal – MADE IN SPAIN”. Bbl flats are stamped with 1968 Spanish nitro proofs. Single selective triggers. Actions are old silver finish engraved with full coverage traditional european floral and ribbon patterns. Bottoms of actions are fully engraved with same patterns and also engraved “AGUIRRE Y ARANZABAL” in a ribbon. Hidden third fastener, Purdy type double underlugs, side clips, hand detachable Holland and Holland type locks with jeweling on the lockwork. Top levers and single beaded trigger guards are blued, with matching engraving, Levers are to the right and breech faces show very little firing, SNs at grips. Well matched figured European walnut pistol grip stock and forearm, LOP measure 14-1/2+/- over White Line recoil pads. Matching splinter ejector forends have Anson releases. SST on both. Gun no. “1” and "2" Bore restrictions: left -.0236 (Imp Mod), right -.015 (Mod). I beleive #2 is the same or slightly tighter. Drop at heel: 2-1/2, drop at comb: 1-1/2. Weight: 7lbs LOP: 14-1/2+. Comes with full length custon leather case. Stitched 1 and 2. See pictures.
Exceptional matched pair of AYA shotguns that would do well in anyones portfilio, collection, or upland hunts. Maticulously taken care of and have seen very little use. Judging by the action, these guns are barely broken in, if that. Please inspect the pictures and I can certainly send more. I'll be happy to answer any questions.
