Description:
Merkel, Safari, 470 Nitro Express, 23 1/2" barrel, 14 1/2" length of barrel, engraving with coin scroll and lion head, few handling marks, some light rust on left barrel around forearm, semi beaver tail forearm, extractors, drop at heel 3", sling swivel studs, one standing and one folding sight blade, less than one box of shells were shot through it, used in Africa. Purchased new from GSI 5 years ago. Very accurate. This is not a standard grade gun, it has upgraded wood with dark stripes nicely figured and coin scroll engraving.
