PATTERN 1887 MARK III (MKIII) TYPE FOR MKIV MARTINI HENRY SABER BAYONET & SCABBARD. 23 3/4" overall with slightly less than 18 1/2" un-fullered straight blade. Two rivets(4 washers) secure two grip panels that have traces of checkering. Catch release button strong. Ricasso marked "88" with Queen Victoria crown over 'V.R.". Opposite stamped broad arrow over W.D. and crown over "F" and then over "45". Original polish marks and never been sharpened. Original scabbard with mint stitching and original staples holding throat and drag with no dings or crimps. Throat device stamped "76" and opposite "21" next to Regt. Marking "P.1R". Leather mint. For the Enfield Mark IV rifle.
