The Parker 28ga. on a "OO" frame is a very sought after gun. Few were made in any grade and the vintage American double gun enthusiasts love the 28ga. for hunting and clays. When looking at GH grade Parkers, there were only 130 28ga. guns made in all configurations, only 25 in Skeet configuration. Anybody that wants a factory original GH 28ga. will be prepared to pay A LOT. To find an original Parker GH 28 gauge in Skeet configuration will cost you over $40K if you were lucky enough to ever find one for sale. Hence the upgraded gun we see. This gun originally shipped as one of the 130 Parker GH 28ga. guns with no extras in 1938. At some point the famed Del Grego and Sons shop made the addition of a beavertail forend and a straight grip stock with a checkered butt which Del Grego and Sons were well known to do. When we got the gun we had Doug Turnbull Restoration add his bone and charcoal case colors which are true to the original Parker gun. Beautifully engraved and finished and set up perfectly for skeet or close upland game, it has Skeet chokes, high stock dimensions, nicely figured English stock with checkered butt, beavertail forend, and weighs in at 6 1/4lbs. The Parker 28ga. was initially made on a 20ga. or "O" frame and is not near as desirable as the "OO" frame that this gun is built on. Parker 28ga. guns on a "OO" will always be a gun with strong demand, and with the accelerated growth of vintage clays games and upland hunting, this is a gun you can use and enjoy as it grows in value.
