Remington 700 custom made by “Marquardt Precision” chambered in .416 Howell. The cartridge was designed by ammo expert and author Ken Howell and it is very impressive. Starting with a Remington 700 action it was rebarreled for the .416 Howell, muzzle brake installed, floor plate closed and locked in place; the action tuned to the new barrel and EAW quick release scope mounts were added to hold the Leupold VX III 1.5-5 X 20 scope in addition to the factory fixed sights. The factory BDL stock was bedded for the heavier barrel and magnum action and also fitted with two recoil reducers and a “Limb Saver” recoil pad. The trigger pull is 3 lb. 6 oz. . The barrel is 25” including the nicely added muzzle brake. Overall length is 45 3/8”, 13 ½” LOP and a stout (but welcome) weight of 10 lbs. 7 oz. There is about 140 rounds of ammo, a few rounds of brass and dies that comes with this rifle. 97% overall condition, mechanically perfect.
