Description:
Serial #1190, .44 RF, 24” barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some minor freckling within the grooves at the muzzle. This is a fairly scarce American rifle, less than 2,000 were ever made, and uses an underlever action operating a sliding breechblock. The metal has an overall dark plum-brown patina with scattered spots of mild surface freckling throughout and some traces of original blue on the frame. The checkered walnut stock is in fine shape with numerous small handling marks and minor surface blemishes scattered about the lightly flaked original varnish finish. The fragile action functions but the gun will not cock and fire. the rifle rates very good plus-fine condition overall. Antique
