U S Military Model 1842 (1843) Percussion Navy Pistol made by HENRY DERINGER. Of all the 1842 Model Navy pistols, this is the second most rare model. Only the rifled model is rarer. Estemated 1200 made. Brass mounted. Fine condition. 54 caliber smooth bore. Marked "US/Deringer/Philadelphia" on lock and "Deringer/Philadelphia" on barrel. This is an outstanding representation of this rare pistol. A must have for any Military collector.
