Description:
Rare and hard to find 1892 SRC 38-40. Manufactured 1896. Wood is in pretty good shape, Has 2 small cracks, one at end of forearm and one to right of upper tang, has some shrinking around upper tang. Still has most of the original blueing which has turned to the plumb brown. Bore is in very good shape with good rifleing which is rare for a gun this old. Mechanically perfect and shoots straight. Gun is not rare and hard to find because it is an 1892 SRC. It's rare because it is an antique 1892 SRC made before 1899. A nice old 1892 that has never been messed with that has a story to tell. Story goes that one of Teddys Rough riders, William Atkins carried it in The Spanish American War. AS it is an antique it can be shipped directly to you.
