A tribute to and commemoration of John Rigby's prominence in the arms trade for now going on three hundred years, the maker describes this Anson & Deeley-actioned model as its "4th Century Boxlock." The 26-inch match grade barrels are chambered for one of the truly classic big game rounds, the .470 Nitro Express, characterized by the renowned John "Pondoro" Taylor as being a "splendidly balanced cartridge." This firearm was special-ordered and shipped to Zimbabwe in 2000 and exhibits Rigby's catalogued and optionally available pewter-finished metalwork.
