Description:
This beautiful deluxe Winchester is a rare bird. It has everything a collector could want. It is a truly early antique made in 1895. It is a takedown. It has a 26" octagon barrel. It has a crescent rifle buttplate. It has an original antique Lyman tang peep sight and an Express rear leaf sight which appear to have always been on the rifle. The bore is nice and shiny. It still has very good case colors on the lever and hammer. And most importantly, it has highly figured deluxe wood with a capped checkered pistol grip. All the finishes are original and it WILL letter in this configuration from Cody guaranteed. The only flaw that I can find is where a small bit of the curly grain has popped on the left side of the wrist above the checkering and below the tang sight. I have included a close-up picture of this. I have provided many full sunlight pictures to allow you to see all of the details in the most unforgiving light. It looks even more beautiful in your hands and out of the blindingly bright sun. Please see the pictures and ask any questions before . I can ship it as an antique.
