The wood is Mauser Orbendorf as well, but with a different serial number. The rifle is in overall above average condition. This particular rifle has the less common, solid hardwood stock as opposed to the laminate stock that is generally seen on mid to late war rifles. It also has the correct flattened safety which is numbered to the gun. The rear turret mount is Waffenamted e/135 and the front is serial numbered, but not to the gun (it shouldn't match). The gun has the correct e/135 after the serial number, which is found only on Mauser Orbendorf sniper rifles. It also has the "bunny ear" mark on the left rear of the receiver from the builder at Orbendorf. The Hensolt Wetzlar scope is "bmj"-marked, Dialatyn 4x, and serialed 71444. This gun is complete with the cleaning rod, muzzle cover front sight hood, and scope lens covers. This is a complete WWII Nazi Sniper rifle package!
