Mauser C96 (Broomhandle) Rig, Military. Caliber .30 Serial Number. 4167XX.
What a beauty this is. Retaining about 98% 0f the original matte military blue finish. The loss is contained to the usual barrel rub, side rail rub and the front edge of the magazine, as well as some sharp edge silvering. All caused by the wooden holster stock. The rest of this beauty is just about flawless. No pits, flakes, or rust anywhere. There is some very slight graying of the grip straps and the usual stock slide mark.
Both the gun and the stock carry the Wiemar WWI military proof of a Crown over what appears to be a Gothic letter W. All parts match including the grips and the holster stock, as mentioned before. The extractor, sight slide and safety still have about 85% of the original fire blue.
The bore, like the rest of the gun, is super. With sharp bright rifling and just the slightest touch of graying. The matching stock is excellent and surprisingly it has never been split or chipped.
A really rare and handsome rig priced well below the current market. .... $3895.
