Description:
Serial #A5569, .22 LR, 6” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This pistol has been extensively modified and now has a stepped, full-length octagonal barrel, while the butt of the grip has been extensively reshaped so that the original thick metal butt now sits flush with the bottom of the walnut grips. The pistol has traces of original bllue on the barrel, most noticeably in narrow triangular slivers just ahead of the step where the barrel narrows down. The original rear sight is still installed (minus the elevator) and the frame retains about 70-75% of the original blue with the balance turned to a dull, pewter gray. Bright original fire blue remains on the hammer. The walnut grips are in fine shape with a thick added varnish finish over scattered light handling marks, and the remnants of a flaked black finish are present on the butt. The lock-up is still tight and the pistol is in fine condition as reworked. FFL or C&R
