Walther PP (RFV Finance)
Item Description
This is a nice Walther PP, which was issues to the uniformed RFV staff, unlike PPK-RFV's which were issued to plainclothes staff. Members of the Zoll Customs patrol border guards also carried RFV-marked pistols. As the borders of Germany collapsed late in the war, many of the SA border guards were assimilated into the SS, taking their RFV-marked weapons with them.
This pistol is Crown "N" marked and was manufactured in early 1937. The original finish is in about 85% condition with scattered pits on the left side of the slide near the muzzle. The included original magazine is pitted due to poor storage. The remainder of the gun is excellent, with a nice, shiny bore showing no pitting or frost.
