Description:
Up for sale is a A.H Fox CE grade 12 gage shotgun. The serial number puts the date of manufacture to about 1921. The barrels are 28 inches long and are choked improved cylinder and full the barrels are a number four in weight. The four weight barrels are the lightest barrels you can get from the Fox gun company both the mid bead and the front bead are factory they are made of ivory. The chambers are 2 ½ inch.I would rate the barrel blue at a strong 80% free of dents or dings the bore shines and has no pits. The wood at some point had to be lightly sanded it is free of any dings or dents the checkering is sharp wood to metal fit is very good if the wood was worked on they where careful not to take too much away .The wood has a nice grain to it and there is a Old English pad installed. The length of pull is 13.5 inches. The stock has not been cut the reason for the shorter length of pull is the factory Fox-Kautzky single selectable trigger the. The trigger is in the second slot and shortens the length of pull.The engraving is awesome on this gun there is not much case color left on the receiver. This is a rare and desirable fine American double and the single trigger is not seen too often Buyer pays shipping and gun ships in a new hard case. Must ship to a FFL .
