Description:
As far as I can tell this Colt is an authentic, genuine, antique and all original 1st Generation Colt Model 1873 Single Action Army .45 made in 1893 bearing serial number 151962. It is all matching numbers and parts. It has a 5 1/2 inch barrel. Grips are original to the gun and worn from honest use. It locks up tight and functions well in all respects except on the second hammer click the hammer can have a tendency to not remain in place. This can be fixed by replacing the hammer screw on left side of frame (Peacemaker’s in California has original parts for antique Colt revolvers). All markings are visible. One line address on top of barrel. Visible .45 Colt on left side of barrel. Patent markings visible on left side of frame. Metal is light gray patina with no pitting. Bore and cylinder chambers are good, no pitting. This Colt .45 is a real fine specimen of a 1st Generation “Peacemaker.” I have it priced for what I paid for it.
