This gun was made in the late 1880's. Basd on the post 1989 proof marks it was seemleesly sleeved at some fairly recent date. The new barrels are beautifully struck and the job was done with extreme professionalism (unlike some I have seen). The Henry Jones under lever makes it tight and on face. I assume that at the time it was sleeved the wood was also gone over as the whole gun appears as new. All action parts and other metal appointments are near 100% covered in fine, very crisp, scroll. There is even some traces of color hardening coming thru especially in hidden areas. The bar locks have rebounding hammers and lovely crisp triggers. It even has a skeleton butt plate which is somewhat unusual for a British gun. Stats: Bbls=30" choked R=Mod, L=Full, LOP 14 1/2", DC= 1 1/2, DH 2" it weighs 6 lbs 5oz. Surely a magic wand in the right hands! This is truely a gorgeous example of a classic British game gun. The pix tell it all and I have plenty more for prospective buyers. I will split shipping and insurance to contiguous states.
