COLT PERCUSSION (PRE-1899)-Colt 1849 POCKET MODEL 16-31
Colt 1849 Pocket Model Percussion Revolver Civil War era Serial # 51516, made in 1853, all numbers matching including arbor wedge and rammer, 6” Barrel, 5 shot . Standard markings are very clear and readable, early address “Samuel Colt New York City”. Gun is in fine condition, Finish has thinned out and is very light on Barrel, cylinder frame, rammer slight corrosion on enod of BBL, 75% cylinder scene, sharp, gripes have almost all the original varnish, very fine. Frame has case colors but a little dark and somewhat silvered out, trigger guard and back strap have 95% + of the original silver plating. The gun works fine mechanically, locks up tight when cocked; the bore has 85% of the rifling and a little corrosion and chambers look good,
