Here is a nice example of the Winchester Model 53 in caliber 32-20. The serial number on the firearm is 985806 which indicates a manufactuer date of 1927 according to the Winchester serial number archives, and the co-minglling of serial number with the Winchester 92. The firearm has a walnut stock which appears to have been refinished sometime in it's past. The metal surface's of the firearm has turned a grey white patina while the barrel has retained it's blue finish. The action is crisp considering it's age, with a tight feel while working the action. The butt plate is steel. The barrel is 22 inch's in length. For those filling gaps in their Winchester rifle collection, this firearm would be a good consideration.
