Description:
LCSmith gr3,12ga,28” bls, ic/ic chokes. d,trig, extr. Unusual pattern on rib matting, but original to the gun. I’ve seen this pattern on a few other smith guns. Dual metal sight beads with gold bar at breach end of bls. No dings or dents. Bls. Probably 99% of correct reblue. Frame about 60 or 70% case, as is the blue on trig. Guard, original. Well figured dark walnut stock. Very few marks ,no significant dents or scratches. Fine cracks on at the back of the locks on both sides, not serious but the stock would benefit from a glass bedding job which would permanently resolve any stock issues. Checkering slightly filled with oil but no scratches or dents. Flour de lis checkering pattern on stock. Cer. No. 93xxx, probably1897 or1898. Cer. Nos. in this range are missing from the records. This is a very nice gun for its age, I’d say exceptional.
