Description:
NOTE: it is the buyers responsibility to confirm that this firearm is legal to own in your state and/or locality.

Offered for your consideration is an almost like new Mowrey .50 caliber percussion black powder rifle. This very high quality black powder rifle was manufactured by Mowrey Gun Company located in Olney, Texas during the mid-1970’s and is based on the 19th century Ethan Allen percussion rifle design.

The frame, trigger guard, and very attractive curved butt plate are made of high quality brass. The stock is made of beautifully grained walnut and does not have any cracks, splits, or missing wood.

In later years, the company moved to Waldron, Indiana. It is felt by many people who have owned and used these Ethan Allen replicas that the quality of materials, (especially the hardness of the brass), and workmanship of the ones manufactured in Olney, Texas are much better than the ones manufactured elsewhere. Additional pictures upon request.
