Description:
24" tapered octagon-to-round barrel with matted quarter rib. Highly figured walnut stock by Maurice Ottmar with widow's-peaked ebony forend tip, cross-pin fastener, fine wrap-around point-pattern checkering with raised and checkered sidepanels, steel pistol grip cap, double-beaded pancake cheekpiece, inletted and pedestalled swivel bases and checkered walnut butt finished with steel heel & toe plates. Metalwork by Robert Snapp with case-colored small-frame Martini action fully engraved by Richard Boucher: floral bouquet on either side in raised gold, very fine English scroll and with gold-inlaid borderlines on receiver, action lever, grip cap, quarter rib, heel and toe plates. Leupold M8-4x matte-finish scope with fine duplex reticle on sculptured, engraved and gold-inlaid Talley mounts fitted directly to quarter rib dovetails without separate bases. Pull: 13 5/8". Weight: 6lbs, 14oz. Second place winner at the American Custom Gunmakers Guild Show in Reno, 1997. Nearly new condition.
