SALE PENDING: Very attractive little 16 gauge boxlock non-ejector by Slingby's of Boston. (This does not refer to the city of baked beans, chowdah, or the curse of the Bambino, but to a town in Lincolnshire.) The barrels are 28" with excellent bores, proved at .662 and still measuring the same. The chambers are 2 1/2" and the bores are choked .006/.029. The rounded action locks up tight, and features border and acanthus scroll engraving. The maker's name is engraved on the rib. The straight grip stock measures 1 1/2" x 2 1/8" x 14 1/2" over a rubber butt pad, and has slight cast off (for right hand shooters.) There is a vacant initial shield. The forend is of the pull-off type. Weighs 6 lbs 6 oz, and, will make someone an absolutely dandy upland gun.
