SOLD: Very cool, antique single barrel 8 gauge hammer gun. Possbily Continental in origin. No visible maker's name, serial number or proof marks. Locks up tight with Jones-type underlever. Non-rebounding hammer. Barrel is 38" and half-octagon, half-round. Moderate pitting throughout most of the bore. Trigger guard extension is of horn. Small repair on left side where action meets wood (a pin has been inserted.) LOP is 14 3/8" over an ancient red rubber pad and spacer. Weighs 8 lbs 6 oz. This old gun doubtless slew rafts of ducks in its day.
