F illi Piotti of Italy is amongst the top gunmakers in the world, a statement not contested by knowledgeable gun enthusiasts. The Piotti Piuma, or BSEE that we have here, sn9869 built by special order in 2004 is the company's BEST BOXLOCK gun. The standard features include a receiver that is machined from a solid billet of Boehler steel in Piotti's own plant, in an Anson and Deely design with highly polished and hand fit internal parts, finely struck chopper lump barrels with fixed chokes, and a perfectly hand fitted stock finely checkered. The extras you will find on this gun include a $500 leather covered pad, upgraded Turkish walnut in line with their finest offerings you would usually see on a Monaco grade gun, and the scalloped and sculpted receiver that is hand filed and shaped to perfection in the same vain as their best sidelock guns. The attention to detail in this firearm is gun art in its purest form. From the metal to metal fit, wood to metal fit, nearly invisible screws, hand checkered wood...THIS IS PERFECTION YOU RARELY SEE. Weighing 6lbs. 3oz. and balanced perfectly 1/8" ahead of the hinge pin, the handling dynamics of this gun match the artistry of its pieces. Piotti guns handle like a dream. With 29" barrels choked IC/LM (.010/.016 restriction) and the gorgeous English style stock, it is a racy, sexy little bird gun that has seen little use. If you were to buy this gun new today it would cost in excess of $24,400. Even though the gun is in as new condition, you can buy this gun today at a fraction of that price. We have in house gunsmiths, so if you wish to alter chokes, bend the stock, add a longer pad, etc. we can do that within 2 weeks of purchase to custom fit this gun to your needs. Thanks for looking!
