Description:
This is a very early Belgian Army High-Power pistol, made around 1936-1937 at the FN factory and chambered in 9mm Para. It retains about 97% of its original beautiful pre-war blueing, with just some minimal holster wear as per pictures. It is all matching, including the frame, slide and the barrel. Very good bore with strong rifling and light frosting in the grooves. Original grip panels, in excellent condition, with original red paint on the inside. Original Belgian pre-war magazine with green phosphated body and a split tail floor plate. Profusely marked with Belgian Army proofs and acceptance marks. It also has a rarely seen tangent rear sight, that was present on pre-war belgian pistols. Only under 45000 of these guns were made before the factory was overrun by the advancing german forces in 1940. These pistols were based on John Browning design, but had a high capacity double stack magazine that held 13 rounds. It was a sidearm of choice for front line German troops throughout the WWII. No import marks. As I had not fired this gun, a thorough gunsmith inspection is recommended before firing. 3-day inspection. All applicable laws would be followed. FFL or C&R required, except in states, municipalities and other localities, where a full 01FFL is required for transfer( NJ is one example). No sales to states that prohibit high-capacity magazines(CA, NY and others),unless you have a special high-capacity permit from your state. If you are not sure - please, contact me. No sales to Chicago, NY City. Please, make sure that your dealer will accept the gun from a C&R licensed individual. I will pay 1/2 of UPS NEXT DAY AIR charges in CONUS. Buyer is responsible for the other half and the insurance.
