Description:
Serial #5946, 6.35mm (.25 ACP), 1 1/2” barrel with a very good, lightly freckled bore. This is a handsome and well made little revolver that retains 85-90% of the original nickel finish that has flaked along some of the high edges, as well as in spots between the cylinder flutes. The ejector rod retaining spring, frame screws, and manual safety still have bright fire blue remaining. The maker's marking is engraved along the topstrap: “AUG. LEBEAU COURALLY/CAL. 6,35/A LIEGE”; and the retailer's name is engraved along the backstrap: “FLLI. VARRIALE NAPOLI” (Auguste Lebeau and Ferdinand Courally had a Liege partnership that operated from 1896 to 1902). The period ivory grips are nicely age-toned to a caramel brown color without any real drying cracks or blemishes. The mechanism is tight and fully functional, and the revolver rates very good-near fine condition overall. FFL or C&R
