This is a Carl Gustafs marked bayonet that measures 21 1/8” overall with a 19 1/2” angular blade having four full-length hollow ground flutes and cruciform cross-section. The socket is 1 7/8” long with push-button spring catch and a short (sub-1”) shank. The metal retains 97-98% of the original blue with only some very minor fading along the high edges and projections. The socket has a few small spots of plum-brown freckling, and the unit marking on the reverse is crisp and clear. These bayonets were made specially for use with the 8mm Danish Krag chambered conversion of the Swedish Rolling Block Rifle (see item #30463 on this site) and this example is in excellent condition.
