If you know how a cam works you will appreciate how this Jones style action is an impressive and strong lock up. As you move the Jones lever to the right the barrels actually slide away from the breech face and after a small way then drop open to expose the breech to load. Closing the gun it is very impressive, as the lever is closed the action slide backwards tight against the breech.

This particular rifle is in absolutely amazing high original condition, obviously it has not spent much if any time in the field. I don\'t know how a rifle from this vintage could still have near 90% original case color but this fine example does. The best quality engraving feels to the touch as if it was cut yesterday.
