Sharps-Borchard Model 1878 Military in 45-70,c. 1878-1881. Rifle shows good metal finishes with a suggestion of case coloring evident in the protected areas. Military straight grip stock with full-length, 2- Band forearm, very good varnish with scattered dings and scratches, left side of ther stock close to the butt is the cartouche for the J.P Lower Co. of Denver . Top of the barrel is marked OLD RELIABLE in script and SHARPS RIFLE CO. BRIDGEPORT.CONN. Antique..
