Description:
Available now! This is a Shiloh Sharps 1874 Bull Barrel buffalo style rifle in .50-90 caliber. It is a Sporter #3 with a 30” barrel. Options include: 16 pound bull barrel, extra fancy walnut, AAA hand rubbed finish, bone charcoal case colors, checkered steel shot gun buttplate, pewter tip, Montana Vintage Arms #103 Long Range Buffalo Soule  Sight with windage knob, and  MVA  Beech combination front sight. It has a buckhorn rear barrel sight. Buffalo hunters liked a heavy barrel because it helped tame recoil and delayed heat build-up in the barrel.  Jefferson Tollofson used a bull barrel Sharps to shoot a perfect score at a 1000 yard match in 1878.
If you ordered this one today including 8.25% federal excise tax, cost would be $4991. Not sure what the wait would be on a new bull barrel; the Shiloh company will not be doing another bull barrel run for several years.
This rifle has been shot only a few times and is in pristine shape. The bore is brand new condition. There are two tiny marks in the butt stock that are hard to find and do not detract from the beauty of this wood. The extra-fancy upgraded walnut stock has a gorgeous pattern that looks like rippled folds of velvet. The front sight is a Beecher combination; flip up round sight with skinny post for use with the tang or flip down traditional front sight for use with the rear buckhorn barrel sight. This is a very unique rifle and one you would be proud to own.
Will sell with or without the MVA tang sight.

$4100 without the tang. Price without the tang would be $4126 plus another 8.25% tax = $4466.
$4585 with MVA Long Range Buffalo Soule tang. Price new with tang and tax = $4991 plus the wait.
$75 shipping and insurance (due to wt). Ships in hard plastic gun case.
I take cashier’s/bank checks or USPS money orders only.
