Description:
Firearm is overall in very good condition, one of the few rifles that has made it without being modified from it's original military configuration. Bluing is still deep and excellent on barrel and receiver. A few blemishes here and there on the metal but overall this firearm is excellent for being over 100 years old. Wood stock is solid with no cracks and only a couple dings here and there. Still features the Argentine Crest on the right side of the stock. Pictures are of the exact firearm that you will receive!

ALL SERIAL NUMBERS MATCH - B7699

Caliber: 7.65X53 Argentine Mauser

Typical of most rifles that make it into the US the Argentine Crest has also been removed from the receiver.

Due to it's age this firearm can be shipped to an FFL or a C&R Licensee.

This rifle was the answer to Argentine's diminishing stores of arms prior to the beginning of the 20th Century. In 1886 the Argentine government commissioned Mauser of Germany to upgrade their existing stock. The result of the deal struck was the Modelo 1891 Argentine Mauser. Manufactured in Berlin and imported by the Argentine service. This rifle features a single piece wood stock, smooth but rugged operating system, 5-round integral box magazine and a 24" barrel. The dimensions of this rifle are 51" in length, and weighing in at about 9 pounds.
