Description:
Gun remains, historic, and stunning. Winchester 1866 3rd Model SRC. The rifle was manufactured in 1871, and is one of the finest preserved examples, available for purchase. Round, 20" barrel, full length magazine, front sight is integral with barrel band, and early carbine flip-up sight. The stocks are original, with crescent buttplate, and retain a high degree of original oil finish. Receiver has sharp edges with a dark patina. Left side of receiver has rack number "76" stamped. The barrel, magazine, and loading gate retain 90% original blue, with some areas of light scratches. Bore is bright, with strong rifling. Screws are in excellent condition. All numbers match on this rifle. As good as it gets!
