What we have here is one of the most RARE and DESIRABLE Firearms that we have had the pleasure of offering for sale. In all actuality this piece DESERVES TO BE IN A MUSEUM!!! It is a Colt Single Action Army in the SUPER RARE Nickel Finish with the 4 3/4 Barrel and .38 spl Caliber. According to our research there was only 113 of this configuration produced. We attained our research from the book "The Post War Colt SA" Written by Don Wilkerson. The Book states that most of the Second Generation .38spl Calibers were used for quickdraw competitions and that only 600 Generation 2 SAA models TOTAL were produced with the nickel finish and only 113 of them had the 4 3/4 inch barrel. Making this firearm the most desirable and most RARE Generation 2 SAA Models that EXIST! The condition is absolutely FABULOUS with no signs of even being Fired. "SEE PICS & JUDGE" This piece was purchased from one of the most respected and renowned Single Action Army Collectors in the nation. This piece is 100% legit with the original finish and box with the serial number appearing on the bottom of the box. All the numbers match on this piece also. The grips and cylinder are also number matching to the serial number. According to the Colt Archives Letter it was shipped to Franklin Park Illinois on March 24th 1960 with it being only 1 of 1 in the shipment. We are listing this piece as Used because it obviously had at least one owner and since it was sold to the initial consumer we cannot legally advertise the condition as New. HOWEVER as far as the condition status it is what we believe to be in STUNNING Condition with no signs of ever being fired nor "used" in any way.
